Over the last few years, I have searched for podcasts to listen to while editing photos or hitting the road. Podcasts are an excellent way to pass the time and learn new information. There are many to sift through in the world of podcasting and photography. Here are several of my favorite podcasts to help pass the time and learn something new!

The Beginner Photography Podcast

Raymond Hatfield is the creator and host of the Beginner Photography Podcast and a professional wedding photographer. Don’t let the name fool you! The podcast is for every skill level of a photographer. I particularly love it because Raymond has a variety of episodes that empower photographers. With almost 500 episodes, there is sure to be something you will find beneficial. I was recently a guest on the podcast in episode 492. Raymond has a way of helping photographers through his interviews with guests on the show by asking questions relevant to the topic at hand, especially when other podcasts don’t cover the information as thoroughly. If you are looking for a dynamic podcast that never gets old, I suggest you listen to a few episodes!

Creative Pep Talk

Here is a non-photography podcast from which any creative person can take something. Hosted by Andy J. Pizza, a New York Times bestselling author and illustrator, what I love about Andy is his passion for being creative and bringing real and honest lessons. The podcast features inspiring stories and actionable strategies for building a thriving creative practice. His episodes go beyond being creative and cover advanced topics, like episode 470 - "How to Create a Body of Work by Collaborating with Your Past Self." Even though this podcast is not aimed at photographers, you can take away the strategies from episodes and use them in your photography.

F-Stop Collaborate and Listen

Hosted by Matt Payne, a full-time professional nature photographer, this podcast takes you beyond the gear with interviews and discussions. Matt has a way of making the podcast engaging, so you’ll want to stick around until the end of each episode. I love the podcast because it hosts a variety of topics, including business, social media, and creativity, creating a great blend. It primarily focuses on nature, landscape, and wildlife photography.

The Photographer’s Mindset

Hosted by Seth Macey and Aaron Mannes, The Photographer’s Mindset is a podcast created for photographers by photographers. It delves into the mindset required to be a photographer. Initially, it started to help photographers understand that their success is more than just skill and dedication. Episodes range from social media to mindset as a photographer, and they keep things fresh and new. I love that they focus on success and building awareness in your photography, rather than just being another podcast about the latest lens or camera.

Art2Life

This is another non-photography podcast, but if you're looking for inspiration from other artists, this is where I start. Hosted by Nicolas Wilton, an artist and founder of Art2Life, this podcast features guests ranging from filmmakers to painters and more. Guests are passionate about their art, and this is a great podcast for any creative at any level. Occasionally, I need a podcast that focuses on creating and the process. I don’t want to listen to an episode jam-packed with photography information. Listening to a podcast that isn’t photography-related helps get me in a creative mood and step outside the photography mindset.

In the end, podcasts are a great way to learn something new or even change your mindset. They are portable and easy to listen to, whether you're on the go or sitting down to edit photos. If you have never listened to a podcast, I highly suggest it. There are a ton of podcasts out there dedicated to photography. Leave a link in the comments below to your favorite podcast!

Ok, I will .....

Beyond the Wild is a wonderful podcast for wildlife and nature photographers. Three friends of mine host it. They're great guys and have a very broad variety of guests and topics. Here's the link to their homepage:
